Bosch Parade is a worldwide unique art manifestation on water with Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516) as source of inspiration. His world-famous works of art are full of symbolism, fantasies and absurdities that continue to provoke new contemporary creations. Although many projects result in independent artworks, the diverse communities of the city are actively involved in the production of the artworks, also ex offenders and people who suffer from addictions.
Bosch Parade is unique in the world in its concept and appearance. It is an event that can be visited free of charge. Bosch Parade is a multidisciplinary performance in the form of a floating parade. Several large and small works of art sail over the water of the river Dommel in the heart of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

The Boschparade aims at, amongst other things, achieving its goals via the production of visual art events; performances; film, television, theatre and television productions – as well as exhibitions. A parade of floating art pieces, sailing over the Dommel river along the mighty walls of ’s Hertogenbosch. The historical grandeur of the city creates a perfect set for a wondrous armada of floating vessels and objects.
Success of the Cooperation
Bosch Parade aims at delivering top quality to make this recurring event a success. The program is entirely developed by professional artists in various disciplines and carried out under their close supervision. Several new artistic layers are added, by working within a collective and by appointing a renowned artist to support the realisation of the entire concept. Through dialogue, the work surpasses individuality, yet respecting each individual’s signature and artistic freedom during performance. The Parade is for free.
