The Cooperartiva Sociale TenRock was founded with the aim of creating social inclusion for young people in disadvantaged areas through social circus activities. Young people are involved in courses, workshops, exchange seminars, internships and creative residencies, activating social and labour inclusion opportunities for them. In its first years, the social cooperative Tenrock was operational in the large atrium of a primary school in the city of Brindisi. TenRock, aims to be a travelling circus tent in Italy and abroad, providing educational training in circus and theatre arts in socially deprived urban neighbourhoods: the reception and care of disadvantaged minors, the fight against educational poverty, culture and the fight against school drop-outs, juvenile deviance.

“Farò Circo” is part of a broader project, in a space called “La Fabbrica del Farò” that the social cooperative Il Faro (a partner in the project) has purchased to create a welcoming context for women and minors in difficulty, rich in cultural, recreational, artistic and work opportunities (through social agriculture, tourist accommodation and catering). In this space, where the TenRock circus tent is located, numerous actions are implemented in a network with the social cooperative Il Faro and other local realities that jointly contribute to each other’s development through the development of a circular economy model.
